Problem Aqualisa 8.5 Shower

My Aqualisa 8.5 has a problem and wondered if you could help me. The problem is I press the 'on' button and it lights up blue and normally hey presto but this time, clicks and goes blue but then immediately stops. Last week I undid the hose and put it back on and it worked! I thought was air lock problem but now with hose or without hose, shower won't come on. When I've tried it with hose on and then undid hose, water has come out of the hose, hopefully this might help. Please could you give me some pointers with my shower problem? Regards.Suzie Miller

The flow valve has failed which is part of the shower engine which means that you will have to replace the complete engine

Thank you for coming back to me so quickly. Is the flow valve straight forward to install i.e. take old one off and install new one. Can be done by someone who knows about electrics. Is there a guarantee with it. Regards Suzie.

It is not the flow valve it is the complete engine that will need replaced, however it is fairly straight forward to replace and it has a one year guarantee

I went into the link you gave me for the complete engine. Please could you tell me what part of the engine is the flow valve. I've attached the photo. Thank you.

It is behind the blue control and is also part of the white section below it
