Aqualisa Hydramax Concealed

I have been asked to look at a shower mixer that is very hard to regulate, hot and then cold with very little movement of the dial, the system is on a combi, the mixer valve is grey, is that right or wrong for the system and if it is which one shall I replace,I see that it should be pink, and will it fit in the same housing as the grey one.

For a combi boiler it shouldbe a pink cartridge and it will fit in to the same housing as the grey.

Regarding the temperaturefluctuation or cool running it could be a faulty cartridge however to checkthis, see if you can get hold of the hot supply pipe before it enters theshower or perhaps as it leaves the boiler.

If when holding this pipethe temperature fluctuates or goes cool then the problem is not with the showerbut more likely with the boiler as the shower can only deliver what the boilersends to it.        #

Disregard the temperature atthe taps as they have a different flow rate.
