Cartridge type

I have been called to repair a gainsborough Ambassador shower that is fitted to an unvented hot water system but it has the grey cartridge fitted (gravity or pumped). Do I replace it with the same or switch to the high pressure cartridge. If I do this will i need to change the body as well?

Just stick with the grey cartridge, it will cope with thepressure OK

The pink cartridge often known as the “High PressureCartridge” is really for combi boilers and is better able to cope with theunbalanced pressures.
