dripping shower and replacement cartridge Pink/Grey?

hi i have a gainsborough ambassador concealed shower,the unit is dripping quite consistantly and also the temperature isnt always great.ive read your Q&A's but im still abit unsure.i have a combi boiler but on removal of old cartridge it is the grey type,do i need to replace like for like or was the shower not fitted for right application when installed(already fitted when we bought house).i guess i just need to know pink or grey cartridge.hope this makes sense.cheers

Yes Pink cartridge is for a combi.

 

It is common for someone to change over to a combi boiler leave the grey cartridge in place and if the pressures are reasonably balanced it will work OK, however now that it needs changed the correct cartridge is the pink one.
