Gainsborough Ambassador Concealed

I have Gainsborough Ambassador Concealed shower mixer in my loft conversion and a pump in the lower bathroom the feeds this.It has been working fine for about 18months but now i am having a problem in that when i turn it on, the cold supply is working ok and pump works properly but when i move the thermostatic controler to the hot it slows down the pump and then screeches and cuts out. Is there any reason for this.I have taken out the cartridge and cleaned the little conical filter and refitted it but still no joy except a little leak from the controler.Can you suggest any answers,thanks for your time. Jerry

Depending on the type of pump that you have there could be a blockage on the hot side filter which is causing this.
