Moen has revealed four new accessories it is adding to its popular Banbury range, with a clear focus on user comfort and safety.
The shower manufacturer's collection will now also include hand grips and safety grab bars, offering additional support to users who may experience difficulties with their mobility.
However, the organisation was keen to stress that its latest products were not designed purely with the elderly or others who struggle with their movements in mind.
"Safety is really for everyone.'Are seatbelts only for seniors?' 'Are bike helmets just for children?' Of course not. Safety is important for all of us, everywhere...and especially with the slippery surfaces in the bath," said the firm's marketing director Tim Bitterman.
As a result, Moen suggests that consumers will no longer have to "choose between form and function" when it comes to creating their perfect bathroom. Its new 18-inch Grab Bar and nine-inch Hand Grip complement the traditional style of the Banbury suite, with the former offering rubber grip pads and both coming in chrome or brushed nickel finishes.
In addition to these features, the Hand Grip can support up to 250 pounds (113 kilos) in weight, while this is increased to 500 pounds for the Grab Bar when mounted into a stud.
However, the new Banbury accessories do not solely concentrate on the safety element of the bathroom, with the other two new products - a glass shelf and pivoting mirror - looking to improve the aesthetics of any bathroom.
Both are available in mediterranean bronze, brushed nickel or chrome finishes, and promise to look attractive alongside the rest of Moen's Banbury range, which includes towel bars, towel rings, robe hooks and pivoting toilet roll holders.
Mr Bitterman put the collection's popularity down to its "timeless styling", with the newest additions offering more functional options to those who wish to improve on their existing designs.
