Difficulty getting hot water

Using this shower valve, via pumped arrangement, unable to get hot water through to shower head. This problem happened about a year ago, but was able to adjust thermostatic spindle. As per booklet. I have checked pump discharge line and it is getting hot water. Tried shutting off cold water at pump and still no hot water. Could this be debris or could it be something worse? Shower is not in use daily, small shower away from main bathroom. Should remove the whole cartridge and clean it? Appreciate all help.

Remove the above non return on the hot side , as the filter may be blocked.
