Bristan Cartridge Cart 06734A

Bristan Quest Concealed mixer shower: I have just had our plumber fit this new cartridge to stop the shower from dripping and it still drips as before Is this the right cartridge? Could the new one be faulty? Is the problem something else? Any suggestions Thank you

This will not stop a drip, you need to replace the flow cartridge that is causing the drip.

Hi Barrie
I have fitted the flow cartridge shown on the exploded diagram for this unit. The Bristan Cartridge 06734A is the correct spare as specified in your list of items. When fitted the dripping has not changed. Please confirm that this is the right spare and if not can you recommend the right cartridge.
Thank you

The part you replaced is the temperature cartridge.

At the link below you need to replace parts 25 and 26

You could replace 2 of the part 12's but often they bed into the old piston assembly well

Hi I have just ordered the replacement parts 25 and 26 and these are not the parts for this shower mixer. I have sent a photo from my phone of the piston with this ticket ref for your information. Please advice on the components that are needed to stop this shower dripping.
Thank you

This is not the correct cartridge to stop a drip, as this is the thermostatic cartridge.

Either side of this are the flow cartridges and one or both of these could be the cause of the drip.

Parts 25 and 26 in the above.

Barrie I sent you photos of the flow cartridges that are in the mixer. These are completely different from the ones supplied under 25 and 26. I also purchased the Bristan hex key that was not required on this mixer unit. So far i have purchased on the advice of shower doctor the temperature cartridge and two flow cartridges. please advise which parts are for this mixer unit.

The parts on the above diagram are , according to the manufacturer, the ones for your shower. The parts are the same as the ones in your pictures , www.showerdoc.com/bristan-piston-hsg-hot-00621143 , for hot side, www.showerdoc.com/bristan-piston-hsg-cold-00621141 , for cold side. And the www.showerdoc.com/bristan-maintainence-tool-for-qst-shu-00603770 tool , to remove them.
