Gainsborough Royale not heating

Will this cartridge assembly fit the Gainsborough Royale mixer shower?



The chrome element appears the same as my current one, however the plastic looking crown element does appear to different.

There are two types of cartridge for this valve the old style with a step in the cartridge, with the old style all you can do is give it a strip down clean and lube and fit a service kit and this "Should" solve the problem.

If however you have the newer type then all the parts are still available howevet the advice is the same as above do the strip down clean and lube service kit but in this case if it doesn't work you then have the option of fitting a ner piston and stat
