This question is regarding Sirrus 1850/968 Thermostatic Cartridge without Thermostat - SK1850-2

newteam968 two showers different faults.

i have 2 of theseshowers. one leaks from control but still able to adjust temp and turn it off after tightening more than use too. 2nd temp control stuck and pours water. do both require new cartridges . appreciate your response on this its driving me mad.

With the Sirrus  1800 series that in almost every occasion thefirst thing to do is give them a strip down clean and lube and fit a servicekit, this will cure 85% of any problems and it is also the cheapest thing todo.

If after servicing you find out that it needs a thermostat or piston,nothing is really lost because it almost certainly needed a service in anycase.
