This question is regarding Sirrus 1850/968 Thermostatic Cartridge without Thermostat - SK1850-2

Thermostat SK740012 for 1850 cartridge

Please say which way the item is inserted into the cartridge and is the wax sleeve removed before insertion

The thermostat is fitted into the cartridge, black rubber end first, and this part should NEVER be removed as it will make the item useless.
