Bristan Omega - surface valve leaking

Hi, went round to a client's this morning. He has water squirting from the valve assy. Tried to remove the cartridge assy from valve as per instructions on a sheet he kept from when he changed the cartridge some years back. Once the two screws and retaining plate are removed the instructions say pull the cartridge out from body. I've tried my best but it won't pull. Can you give me any guidance on this? I've turned the flow to the off position and it just shows no signs of releasing....

They can sometimes be reluctant to come out. Remove the hose feed connector and the blanking plug opposite and you will be able to insert 2 flat blade screwdrivers and lever the cartridge out.
If you need a new cartridge it can be ordered online by clicking on the link below.

Took valve assy off. Removed brass hex screw-in blank on rear and the valve dropped out of the front of the assembly.

It was a damaged seal preventing the valve from coming forwards.
