This question is regarding Bristan Osborne Thermostatic Shower With Adjustable Riser - Shower Spares

Limited temperature range

I have 2 Bristan Osborne showers, approximately 14 years old. The temperature range seems very limited and is on hot side. Is this likely a problem with the valve? If so, can it be solved by soaking it in vinegar or other alternative short of valve replacement?

There may be a blocked filter in one of the elbows, or you may need a new thermostatic cartridge.
