Issue with bristan js2 thermostatic dual control recessed valve

Hi The temperature tap of our bath dual control tap Bristan tap (think is JS2 - please see attached picture) doesn't work, i.e. the water gets tepid only. Is this an issue you have come across before and can you advise which part may need replacing?

If this is your shower then you may have a faulty cartridge, but you will need to check that the inlet filters are not blocked first , causing the tepid water.

That's really helpful, thanks Barrie. Neither the water coming out of the bath tap or the shower get properly hot. But it's not the water supply / water pressure to the bathroom as the sink water is piping hot. Plumber who we called said we probably needed a new part but I'm not sure which part we need. Is it something you've heard of and is there a part that's probably worn and needs replacing?

Thanks v much
