Bristan Solo shower - no hot water

hoep you can help, when the water feed is turned on and i adjust the temperature control knob, also press the red button in, it stays in but no hot water is coming out of shower head, the mixer block is hot, but the hot water is not mixing with cold, bought a new thermostat knob from yourselves but didnt help, not sure if i need a new valve or cartridge ? or is better to scrap the whole shower? any help much appreciated

A new thermostatic cartridge should solve the problem.
