This question is regarding Bristan Brass Thermostatic Cartridge (not threaded) - CART 06734B

Spring as part of this catridge?

After dismanteling my Bristan Cartridge (00622415), I did not find any spring attached? Should this be the case? Sometimes find images with the same cartridge + or - spring?

Is the spring left in the body of the shower?

Can you send a couple of Photos of what you have?

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly,
I had checked body (be careful: with very sharp edges ending up with small cutting in my fingers) but there wasn't any spring, the cartridge looks identical though.

In the meantime I also tried to 'clean' (if any dirt at all) with pure cleaning HAc,

the cartridge looks very shiny again, but still mallfunctions

It would appear that you have a faulty cartridge, www.showerdoc.com/bristan-cartridge-not-threaded-cart-06734b
and a new one may solve the problems.
