This question is regarding Bristan CART5 Dual Control Thermostatic Cartridge - 06732COMPL

Bristan Thermostatic cartridge 9CART 50

Although I was getting a reasonable shower temperature, I wanted it hotter.

I removed the cartridge (should have marked every position), cleaned and greased, but now it is running cooler. Does the cartridge have to installed in a specific

way as to maximise efficiency.

Do the hot and cold water outlet match the end openings of the cartridge?
