Bristan Thermostatic Cartridge (cart 5)

How often would you recommend the cartridge be serviced?

The only serviceable parts on the cartridge are the outer "lip seals" and rarely the CD valve.

You could, depending on the frequency of use, service the cartridge every 3-4 years by relubricating/replacing  the lip seals and checking the CD valve for damage. But apart from that, if any thing goes wrong or there is a fault, a new cartridge maybe needed.
