Curtain rail

Does this rail require two curtains? i.e. I cannot see how the curtain wcould be drawn to one side because of the ceiling support rod.

It depends on where your shower is and which direction it points in, if the shower points toward one end of the bath then you could probably get away with one curtain, however if you are concerned about splashing then you probably would want two curtains.
