Operation of Valve

We had the Colonial 2 Thermostatic Valve installed around 4 years ago & recently it has become less smooth to operate & more difficult to turn off without it continuing to drip water. Usually by simply turning it back on briefly & then FIRMLY off again, it works OK, but I wonder if the valve needs some kind of maintenance or service. I seem to recall you can provide service kits with replacement "O" rings etc?

Unfortunately the spares for this have been discontinued, however at 4 years old it shouldn't be needing anything replaced

My thought would be to strip it down give it a clean and grease with silicone grease.
