This question is regarding Crosswater Sol Thermostatic Cartridge Assembly - GP0012174

Cross water Sol cartridge assembly GP0012174

I am trying to remove the existing cartridge. I've removed the cover plate and knob, but can't get the cartridge to move. The flow valve unscrews easily, should this be the case for the cartridge ? Am I missing something ?

If you remove the black temperature ring and the chrome cover on the cartridge , try spraying the cartridge with WD 40 and this may make it easier to remove.
