my shower keeps cutting on and off, can it be the themostatic valve because the water goes cold and back to normal temperature and switches off, but if I wait for a few seconds I can switch it on again. Many thanks. Gerry

Regarding the temperature fluctuation or cool running it could be afaulty cartridge however to check this, see if you can get hold of the hotsupply pipe before it enters the shower or perhaps as it leaves theboiler.

Ifwhen holding this pipe the temperature fluctuates or goes cool then the problemis not with the shower but more likely with the boiler as the shower can onlydeliver what the boiler sends to it.

Disregard the temperature at the taps as they have a different flowrate.
