Bathstore Metro vertical three hole thermostatic shower valve (red button version)

Hi, I have a Metro vertical three hole thermostatic shower valve and bath filler (chrome) from Bathstore (ordered end Dec 2006). I believe their code was KL2000RC and, from the information included, it apparently was supplied from Crosswater. I have recently been experiencing problems with the water from the shower side coming out either cold or lukewarm (even when the temperature is at the maximum after depressing the red button to bypass the safe temperature setting). If I turn up the flow rate to the maximum (using the top shower flow control knob), the temperature does improve but it isn't like it has been previously (i.e. hot on lower flow rates and at a lower temperature setting using the middle thermostatic control knob). The temperature of the water from the bath outlet appears to be OK / as usual, however, without going past the safe temperature 'red button' stop point. Please advise as to the likely problem and if it can be resolved (eg by cleaning any of the valves). Also, for future reference, please advise replacement part(s) details, current prices (incl.VAT and P&P), if kept in stock, time for delivery following order and if the part(s) are genuine Crosswater parts (or, if not, please confirm they are fully compatible and as robust / reliable replacements). Please also advise the part number and cost for the (plastic) temperature control limiter 'ring' that works in conjunction with the middle 'red button' thermostatic control knob. Pictures of the thermostatic valve and the 'maximum temperature control ring' are attached. A quick reply would be appreciated. Many thanks Mike

Sounds like a faulty temperature cartridge however first strip out the cartridge and check that the filters are clean and clear.

All the parts we supply are OME unless otherwise stated

Most of the Crosswater spares are in the link below

Hi, thanks for your reply. As requested in my previous email (with attached pictures), please confirm correct replacement part numbers for the thermostatic valve and the plastic temperature control limiter ring (with webpage links if possible).
Many thanks
Kind regards
Mike

The water to the bath and the shower go through the same cartridge , so should be at the same temperature. We only sell genuine manufacturer parts. The link above shows the cartridge and the temperature stop.
