Crosswater KL2001RC

I have a problem with a Crosswater KL2001RC 3-hole recessed fitting which has worked fine for about 3 years in situ. For the last couple of months it delivers only cold water, regardless of the thermostat setting. I understand this can be caused by mains cold water pressure over-riding the thermostat and forcing hot water back to the boiler. Is this likely to be cured by replacing the thermostatic cartridge? Thanks.

Sorry for the delay in replying

Yes this is possible however if your cartridge is the type with the filters on it then the first thing to do is  remove the cartridge and make sure that the filters are clear.
