Do I need a replacement cartridge?

I have a shower with the Crosswater CP0000250 cartridge which worked until we had our combi boiler replaced with a bigger more powerful model. Now we need to run a cold tap slightly in the sink in the same shower room to get the shower to run hot. The hot water and cold water pressure is high and the temperature is consistent at the shower inlet. I've removed the cartridge, but not sure what I'm looking for. Could the problem be with the cartridge, can they break? and will a replacement cartridge fix the problem or is it likely to have the same issue?

Thanks,

David

As the shower was working properly before the boiler was changed then thatpoints to a fault outside the shower, having said that it is not impossiblethat the cartridge has become faulty.

However.........

My first thought is that the cold water pressure is too high and it isoverpowering the hot, when you open the cold tap you are reducing the pressurein the cold and this is helping equalise the pressures.
