Is my valve Faulty

My CP0000250 is 10 years old now and has never really worked in mixing the water I have to adjust the hot & cold return valves to regulate the water. The question I'm asking would a new CP0000250 solve this problem??

This valve is designed to work on roughly equal pressures, therefore if for example you have a combi boiler (High pressure) and the cold water is from a tank in the attic (low pressure) then the valve will have difficulty regulating the temperature.

If your pressures and flows are roughly equal then a new cartridge should help / solve the problem.
