IB Rubinetterie non return valve

I have a Rubinetterie shower mixer. I believe that the sections left and right of the cartridge are non return valves. The right hand one seems to be jammed, as I cannot turn the screw. Water is too hot. Am I right inn thinking that this is what needs to be replaced?

Check both the non returns and the cartridge. You can test the non returns by switching them over. If the shower becomes cold then the cartridge is fine and the non return is the fault.
