Hi, I am trying to change thermostatic cartridge on deva azure shower, I am struggling to get the main retaining nut loosened. I have taken out the grub screw and have tried everything to get it loose. Any ideas on how to get it off and if I should be removing the plastic facing in attached image first? Thanks

Try WD 40 on the cartridge first, as this cartridge should just unscrew.
