This question is regarding Deva Vision cartridge - (To Suit VSNVCONT04)

problem with removing old Deva Vision cartridge

Hi i have attempted to unscrew and old one of these cartridges from it's housing using a 17mm spanner, however it is unscrewing a thread on the actual cartridge, not unscrewing the whole cartridge from the mixer. am i doing something wrong, or will it require specialist tools to remove it? thanks

No , you are not doing anything wrong. These cartridges can come apart in the shower and leave the back section in place.
If when this happens and you cannot extract the internal part , a new shower maybe needed.
