Thermostatic mixer change

Thanks I received the new mixer. Just tried to unscrew the old one but it only seems to unscrew the outerl part and the thermostatic part is still in the body. Any tips on unscrewing the rest of it?

See part left in the body of the shower and the part that comes out

Unfortunately your cartridge has come apart and left half the cartridge in the shower you will need to get a box key on to the hex that is left in the shower and unscrew the back half of the cartridge.
