Shower pumping out scolding hot water and not adjusting down

Hello,

I've had a Gainsborough 10.5 se for around 4 years now. Recently the temperature has become uncontrollable, mainly too hot, when you dial it down it goes to freezing cold. No mid-range left either one or the other. Just today, it remains hot all the time no matter where I turn the dial.

The advice I'm after is if this is fixable? If not, what would be the cause and options on remedial work (eg. replacement engine, or whole unit).

I've recently replaced the overflow pipe due to the valve popping on it.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

With these showers and this fault you can only change the engine.

The 10.5 engine is discontinued , but you can fit the ,

as it has the same fittings etc.
