Shower wont turn off after fitting new cartridge

Hi Replaced my old grey cartridge with a new pink one as i have a combi boiler now. Everything went smoothly when fitting new cartridge. But i cant seem to turn the shower off , the water is still running out ,any ideas what is going wrong

Before fitting the new cartridge you should replace the small ‘O’ ring at the rear of the body this is another bu**er to change……(something like a crochet hook or the sort of thing that dentists use will help)

It is not always necessary to replace this ring however if there any problems with the cartridge, then this should be done. Some cartridges need the split ( white ) ring and the "O" ring fitted to the back of the cartridge. If your original cartridge had this you should follow suit.
