Ambassador original or 2011

What is the difference between the Gainsborough Ambassador Exposed and the Gainsborough Ambassador Exposed 2011. My shower is showing signs of needing a new cartridge. I have a combi boiler and when I bought the shower (8 years ago) the product document stated that it was suitable for combis. It has the grey cartridge. I'm wondering if it would be better replacing this with the pink cartridge but this is listed under the 2011 version. Is it compatible with the older purchased shower?

Although the grey cartridge can and will work the Pinkcartridge is the correct cartridge for combi boilers and it will fit the olderstyle shower.
