Faulty heat exchanger?

A couple of days ago the shower circuit tripped out on the mains and now, with power on "Low" there is no heat at all. With power on "High" you really have to turn the flow down until it is just a trickle before it is a usable temperature.

Am I right to assume a faulty heat exchanger? Is this suitable for a DIY repair?

Yes a new heating can is required and the appropriate wattage model can be ordered online by clicking on the link below. With regard to DIY without knowing your level of DIY skills it is impossible to answer this , but it is a comparatively easy job.
