accessing and cleaning water filter - Monarch Plus

Shower not flowing and wonder if filter blocked but cannot identify this part or find instruction manual. Is it the component marked 14 on the diagram on this page (no key supplied) and is removal simple?

It maybe a faulty solenoid , but all parts are now obsolete , so you may need a new shower.
