Loose handle

Hi

I have chrome gainsborough Royale shower. The handle will not stay in position until hot water passes through then it will sit tight until the temp runs cooler and the handle slips again again.

I have replaced the O rings which did not work.

Please can you help?

Thanks

It sounds like the brass inside the valve is worn this will probably mean replacing the complete cartridge.

However these are the two parts that normally ware (Parts 4&5)

So if they feel worn/ loose you could just try replacing them

If possible can you send a photo of tour original cartridge because there was a change in design and I would like to make sure that we are getting the correct parts.
