stanza shower

the dial does not turn off the water supply, we have to use a lot of force. looking at the diagram it looks like we need a new algnment post wich is on the front cover, or an adaptor valve flow. I am not sure can you please advise me on this situation thanks

Check if the alignment post is still intact if it is fractured a new front civer is required which unfortunately is no longer available so a new shower is required.
If it is ok then a new flow control valve is required which can be ordered online by clicking on this link.
