This question is regarding Gainsborough SV800 - Shower Spares

I replaced the above shower with a new exact replacement (old stock). When I turned on the water, the (mains) pressure immediately blew the outlet. This outlet was leaking in the old unit and was the reason for replacing. Is this unit low pressure?

No it is not a low pressure unit. It should be fitted to the mains water supply.

I would have your pressure tested as it may exceed the manufacturers limit.
