faulty parts

can you order the spindle behind the on / 0ff knob as the thread has worn away and the knob turns but does'nt catch ?

The spidle is part of the Pressure Switch assembly and is not available seperately.
You might try checking to see if it is not actually the knob that is split as this is the usual part that goes.
