no hot water - no power from main switch outside bathroom

we have just installed a Galaxy 1000 electric 8.5 shower and cannot get it working. The pully switch outside the bathroom lights up when we pull it yet the shower itself will not come on - gives out cold water only. Any ideas please?

Is it connected to the water mains?

Have you checked that there is actually a power supply getting to the shower.

If these are Ok then the most likely fault is a faulty Thermal Cut Out however as it is a new unit and under guarantee I would give galaxy a ring in case you invalidate your guarantee
