O-ring (housing)

I think that I need a rubber o-ring to seal the 2 halves of the unit housing. This does not seem to be itemised in your diagram. Am I mistaken? Is it a generic item from another source?

This is from memory as we don't have a unit for me to check.

I don't think that there is a seal.

If there is it is usually in the part that fits on to the wall and is inside a grove and only goes round the top part of the housing, the theory is if water should get in to the housing or if something starts to leak. then the water can escape out of the bottom of the housing.

Many showers do not have any sort of a seal just one part of the housing fits into a groove on an other remember it only has to be "shower proof" not water proof.
