stop/start knob

The stop/start knob on my shower stopped working properly and wouldn't switch the shower fully off. This happened for a few weeks and eventually I turned the knob too far and it has snapped off (the shower is still partly running). Will it be possible to fix this, or will I have to buy a whole new shower? I think the plastic underneath the knob, part of the unit, is also damaged.

Thanks.

I presume that the flow valve wasn’t shutting off properly and you have forced it ........Well you are not the first Galaxy do a kit for this .
