shower has stopped working electric is ok did not trip fuse but white knob appears to be turning without hearing click and red light is not coming on.

It sounds like there is a fault with the pressure switchassembly http://www.showerdoc.com/galaxy-pressure-switch-assy-sg06015

However you will probably need to take the front cover offto check this  (Make sure you isolate theshower before removing the cover.)
