Galaxy Aqua 3000 - Suspect heating element U/S

Shower sort of gave a hissing sound, then stopped completely. The DB RCD had operated. Reset RCD, and shower works on COLD setting, but selecting a hot setting causes RCD in DB to trip again. I suspect the element, but are they easy to change? I think I have the 10.5KW element, but is there a way to tell what part and rating are? The shower unit is at least 10 years old, but never used often as our ensuite has a mixer valve shower in a proper enclosure, so is easier than stepping into a bath, but I do like the Aqua 3000.

From your description it sounds like an element burning out, Unfortunately the elements for this unit are now discontinued.

Regarding the rating there should be a label on the bottom or inside also it will be stamped into the top of the heating tank although this may be difficult to see.

The easiest Change over will be the Triton Fast Fit these are on the right hand side of the page below.
