Shower cut out

To start the shower I have to use a pull cord that engages the extractor fan and turns on the power to the shower, I then press the power button on the shower. However, it just cut out and when I press the power button nothing happens but the extractor is still working and it hasn't tripped anything in my main fuse box?

If when you switch off the shower at the main isolator and the shower keeps running then you have a faulty solenoid.

When you switch off the shower at the main isolator and the water stops running, then you have a faulty on/off switch or a faulty PCB or a micro switch that is sticking on.
