galaxy aura lx100 water won't shut off

I'm considering replacing my galaxy aura lx100 with Galaxy Aqua 1000 8.5KW Electric Shower because the water won't stop running. I've had to isolate the water to the house after a drip has turned into a constant stream. The large knob just spins now. The knob had been replaced a few weeks ago. I considered changing the solenoid after reading some of the help questions but it might be easier to change the entire unit if it is a straight change out. I want to know if the aqua 1000 will fit right into the space the aura lx100 was in? Are the fixture holes in the same place? Thank you
