Switching on a Galaxy Powershower G2000

My mother has gone into sheltered accom. with a Galaxy Powershower 2000 with no handbook. We can turn it on by 'fiddling' but do not know how to tell her to turn it on! What is the correct way?

This is a fairly old shower and from what you say the on / off control  is faulty unfortunately the spares for this are now mostly obsolete.

 

I would suggest that you look at a new shower preferably one that is thermostatically controlled, as your mother is elderly this will give an element of safety.

 

Due to the way this shower is piped there is nothing that is a straight forward change over.
