the water controle has to be turned full on and the on button held in for about 20 seconds for the shower to not to switch off,once the water is coming out the water control valve can be turned low to achieve hot water if the above procedure is not followed the shower switches off straight away although the shower is around three years old it has only been installed around 6 months, it was purchased on offer from aldi stores

From your description it sounds like the on/off switch at fault, replacement can be ordered online by clicking on the link below.

I have the identical problem with the same shower, bought at the same time, installed at the same time. I have replaced the on off switch but the problem is still there.
