Loose parts.

Hello. I bought this shower 11 years ago from Aldi and have only just got around to installing it- it's a long story. So, brand new, out of the box and there's a rattle from inside the casing. Removed the front cover and two 2cm springs and a small plastic component, which has snapped, fell out. (Unable to load image but if you email me, I'll attach the photo) Any ideas? I'm concerned about safety. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
