REPLACEMENT

I initially had a problem where the Low pressure light was flickering with the water temperature changing, to a point when the light remained on with now cold water coming through. I was advised to change the TCO to which I did to no effect. An electrician had a quick look for me and he identified the problem to be the above Pressure switch as when he isolated the switch, the shower worked ok. I have since exchanged the TCO for the pressure switch and replaced this. The low pressure light no longer comes on, only the auto reset light which I believe should come on, however still only have cold water.

A faulty TCO will have no continuity across the two terminals. Therefore a good TCO will have power at both connections and a faulty TCO will have power at only one. The auto reset usually means that the tco is faulty. The problem may stem from the pcb.But there is no way to test this.

Is it possible that the TCO and the pressure switch were faulty. Would it pay to replace the TCO as well

It is possible that both these items are faulty, but you should test the various items in the shower in order to find out which are faulty and which are not.
